* - Worthless, or actively painful to watch.
** - Enough redeeming factors to finish.
*** - Pleasant, fun, or informative. One-time watching, only.
**** - Excellent. Beautifully drawn, or moving, or inspiring and eye-opening. Plan to purchase it (or already own it).

You might notice that the ratings will tend to be in the 4-star and 3-star category, for the most part. This is not because we are generous with ratings; on the contrary, we're very demanding of our anime. The explanation is simple: we try, as much as we can, to determine the quality of the anime before we watch it (through reviews, other people, intuition). Consequently, the titles that do make it through our filters tend to be of higher quality.
